God Provides

I am a Type A person--have to have a plan (and preferably way in advance) and know details! That's how I operate! This is obviously not the best way to be all of the time--especially when God asks you to step out on faith and just trust Him each step of the way--without seeing the whole picture. 

As many of you know, I quit my safe, secure job as a school counselor in Texas to move to New York City to be a missionary. This has been a huge journey of faith for me. I quit my job near the end of May and moved to NYC at the beginning of August. To work in NYC with Graffiti 2, it meant I would have to raise my own finances to be here. For a Type A person--this is so difficult to trust God with. However, I knew He was calling me to work with Graffiti 2 and I knew He would provide a way for me to be here. The blessings have been pouring in!!! Just when I start to get worried and frustrated that I might not have enough money to really do this, someone sends me a text, email, Facebook message, or card in the mail indicating that they want to partner with me in ministry or that they are praying for me. God knows exactly when I need encouragement and the reminder that HE is in control and HE will provide! 

I can't wait to start sharing stories about what the Lord is doing with Graffiti 2! I officially begin work next week so please be praying! 

Also--still be praying for a place for me to live. I haven't found one yet. I'm going to look at some possibilities this week. 

Thank you for your support and encouragement that each of you has given me! It is so hard to put into words how thankful I am that God uses His people each step of the way to do more than I could ever think!
