Ecuador Mission Trip Recap

I wanted to blog about our mission trip to Ecuador before I forget everything! :)

For those of you who don't know, I went with a group to Ecuador on a mission trip July 20-28. I was on the Vacation Bible School team. There was also a water project team--installing water systems so the people can have clean water.

We did VBS in two locations--a mountain village called Apatug and at a church in a city called Banos. We had about 100 kids in each location. It was quite an experience not speaking the same language. We had awesome translators!

While we don't know if any salvation decisions were made, we pray that many seeds were planted. We also pray that there was growth in the Christians who were in attendance.

Ecuador is a beautiful county--see below pics.

We got to eat lunch at this beautiful place!

The eucalyptus trees outside of the place we ate lunch the Saturday we arrived. It was so pretty!

The view from the cabin we stayed in all week. That is an active volcano behind us.

This was a cute little chapel on the camp grounds.

The camp is called Camp Chacauco.

A view of the Patate River from the camp...God's creation is amazing!

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
