January-March were hard months on me. I really missed "home," my family, my friends, warmth, and Texas. I was so thankful for the visit to Texas in April. I got to rest and relax and spend so much quality time with the people I love. I also got to eat lots of Mexican food!
It's finally starting to warm up here in the city. I've ventured out and enjoyed spring time this month!
Another April event I got to be a part of via FaceTime is Ray and Maggie's engagement!!!! I'm so thankful for technology now that I live a gazillion miles from home!

Enjoying the beautiful weather on Randall's Island...You can access this island by walking across a pedestrian bridge over the East River. Once you're on the island, you forget that you live in NYC. It was so quiet!
The big engagement! We love Maggie and are so happy she is going to be a part of our family forever! :)
