These are a few of my favorite things..

Because I'm trying to be a better blogger, I made a list of blog topics in a note on my phone a few days ago. One of those topics was this...so, enjoy. :)

These are a few of my favorite things right now...

Moroccan Oil

Moroccan Oil for your hair! If you have super frizzy, big hair like I do, this will change your life. It's expensive, but a small bottle of the oil lasts you several months. I've learned that you have to splurge on hair products when you have hair like mine...many of the less expensive, knock-off products just don't work.

When I moved to New York City two years ago, everyone had a pair of these. I asked around to see why they were so popular. After the first snow I experienced, I soon learned why you would want a pair of knee-high rubber boots. My feet/shoes were soaked and extremely cold. These are the best NYC rain/snow shoe ever! A dear friend blessed me with a pair of these a few months after I moved here--Thank you, Blythe! I have worn these so much--in the rain and in the snow! I know I'll get a lot of use out of them when I return to Houston. They'll be perfect for rainy days there! These do fit very snug around your calves, so if you have bigger calves, you might want to order the shorter pair of the boots.

I had never owned a pair of real Uggs until this past winter. I have always owned the knock-off versions from Old Navy, Target, etc. Those worked fine for me..until I put my feet into this glorious shoe of an Ugg boot...oh, the comfort and warmth! So worth every penny! Thankfully, another one of my dear friends blessed me with a pair of Ugg boots--Thank you, Kelly! They have kept my feet so very warm in the awful, miserable NYC winter!

I am a huge fan of Toms. Love them. Want a pair in every single color. However, my missionary budget just doesn't allow me to accomplish this dream of mine. When I was in Georgia visiting my oldest brother, I went to Walmart which was a glorious trip into affordable everything! :) Walmarts don't exist in NYC. Cheap stuff doesn't exist in NYC. So to combine both of these things is glorious! I scoured every inch of Walmart that day and ventured into the shoe section, of course. And they have knock-off Toms! Since they were only $12, I had to try a pair to see if they were worth it. They look just like my real Toms, too! My very generous brother actually bought them for me--Thanks, Daniel! I have worn them several times and love them! They were worth all $12! I typically wear a size 7 &1/2. I bought these shoes in size 7 and they fit very comfortably. I bought the black, shimmer ones. They do stretch out some. They probably won't last more than one season...but they're only $12, so it's totally worth it!

I was first introduced to Lush many years ago by my friend, Blythe. She brought me some home from her trip to Hawaii. I fell in love with it then...however, it is extremely pricey, so I've never purchased any for myself. My friend and roommate, Jena, had a friend visit for the weekend a few weeks ago who just happens to work at Lush. And she brought us each a Charity Pot hand cream. This is seriously the best hand cream I've ever used!

In need of new face wash about a year ago, I perused the aisle of endless possibilities at Target. I have lived on a very tight budget in NYC, so I needed something cheap, but good. I came across this Target brand face wash and fell in love with it. It's the Target version of Oil of Olay. I bought the moisturizer that goes along with this and am not impressed. Just stick with the face wash if you try it out!

I discovered Burt's Bees while I was in college. The gift shop that I worked at carried these products. I'm not a huge fan of all Burt's Bees products, but I recommend this one to everyone I know! I keep it by my bed and use it a couple of times a week. It's great for your nails/cuticles. You can buy Burt's Bees products almost anywhere these days. This product usually costs around $7 and lasts me 6-8 months. Great product!

I am sure that there are a dozens of other products I use regularly that I love. These are just a few. Let me know if you try out any of them for yourself!

What are some of your favorite products?
