With Hurricane Sandy coming through this past weekend, many plans had to be adjusted. Our original plans for Halloween were to be a part of our community's Safe Streets. The NYPD blocks off a street block and kids can come there to trick or treat. Well, since NYPD was obviously needed elsewhere in the aftermath of the hurricane, Safe Streets was rescheduled to a later date. As of Halloween day, we didn't know when it was rescheduled for, so we improvised. On Wednesday, Graffiti 2 had our own Safe Streets party! :)
A local business allowed us to set up in front of their store front on the street corner. We had a game for kids (and many adults...haha), lots of candy, and face painting. Here are some pictures from that day:
