25 things

Facebook inspired 25 random things...

1. I secretly (not a secret anymore…haha) want to own my own record label and help unknown or struggling artists record their music…even through I know absolutely nothing about music…

2. I once was on a TV commercial.

3. I love all things coffee…I can drink it anytime, anywhere, with anyone…

4. I love bookstores…I can walk around one for hours with a cup of coffee and just look at books…

6. I am about to move to a really big city (dallas) and I’m not scared at all…even though I don’t have a job or place to live yet…

7. I’m OCD and am very concerned with the details of everything…which, makes it weird that #6 doesn’t scare me at all...I serve a sovereign God who is working out the details every step of the way…He has so far and He will continue to do just that…like a roommate—God has provided an amazing one!!! yay melodie!

8. I have only been working in my current career less than 1 year and have already decided to make a career change.

9. I just discovered The Office and think it’s hilarious…so, I’m beginning it from season 1 on my online subscription to netflix…which leads me to #10.

10. Netflix allowing Mac users to watch movies online was one of the best things ever that could happen. (okay, not really…but, it did give me another great reason to procrastinate..)

11. What did I do before I became completely Apple oriented??? how did I survive in the world of PCs and regular cell phones??? I don’t know how I did it now that I have a macbook and iphone…

12. I want to be a high school science teacher…I really want to teach chemistry…that was my minor as an undergraduate and I think it’s really fun…(see #5)…I already have so many ideas for teaching it!

13. I am really good at Wii Golf…just ask Ray…

14. I think I sing like a rock star when I’m in my car…alone…(see #1) even though when I was in 4th grade my dad told me that I couldn’t sing…haha…it’s okay—I’ve forgiven him for smashing my dreams of being a rock star.

15. I have rediscovered how much I love reading books.

16. I have given up wearing shoes with heels…i think that’s why I was having so much back pain…haven’t worn heels in like 3 weeks and my back hasn’t been hurting…so, now, I just shoe shop for really awesome flats. however, I will splurge and wear a really pair of amazing heels occasionally…I am a girl.

17. I love board/card games.

18. I think that it is very important for me to share with the world the good news of Funfetti cookies…they will change your life…for real.

19. I try to eat healthy and organically, but #18 really prevents me from doing that…And, I don’t really like to cook, so I eat out a lot which also prevents me from doing this.

20. I love to write hand-written cards and mail them the old school way through the post office.

21. I would definitely move to NYC if the opportunity ever presented itself.

22. I wish I was more compassionate.

23. I love photography and want to take some classes/lessons some day to become better and know the “right” photography terminology.

24. I love to travel…anywhere domestic or abroad…I just love to go—road trips or planned trips! I have been to lots of places in America (but have a long list of places I want to still see!). I have been to Germany, France, Switzerland, and Canada.

25. My new question to ask people is, “What’s your story?” This is inspired from a book I read entitled Walk Across the Room by Bill Hybels. It’s a challenge to be able to tell your story of Jesus in your life (before, Jesus, after) in 100 words or less…So, if I ask you, “What’s your story?” then, that’s what I want to know…Here’s mine:

I was living for me. My wants. My desires. My fun. My joy. My glory. I was going nowhere. No real joy. No real peace. No real hope. I realized those “me” things are all fleeting and last for a short time. Then, Jesus became the Lord of my life. I now live for HIM and want to glorify HIM in everything that I do so it is HIM that people see and not me. I have joy. I have peace. I have hope. I am FREE.

It is a work in progress…I can’t wait to hear your story…I would love for you to share it with me! Leave me a comment with your story posted!

I agree! Funfetti cookies really do change your life! I've been passing them on since we had them that day at your house! We did actually make a funfetti cake for the first time this week though! I felt like I betrayed the cookies!
