About Me

I'm Jo Lynn. I'm 29 years old.

I have an amazing and large family:
I am one of five kids. I am so thankful I grew up in a loving Christian home.

Last summer, I quit my job as a High School Counselor in a small town in Texas and moved to New York City! I work at an amazing ministry in the South Bronx called Graffiti 2 Community Ministries. I love living in NYC, but I do miss Texas and my family a lot!

Me with my amazing parents who flew to NYC and surprised me with a visit!

I went to college at Sam Houston State University and am still a Bearkat at heart! I received both my bachelor's and my master's degrees from SHSU.

Me with my youngest brother and mom

I love Chick-Fil-A (and miss it a lot because it doesn't exist in NYC) and any other restaurant because I don't really like to cook. :)

I only knew a few people when I moved to NYC and am so thankful that God has provided some amazing Christian friends to live life with here.

Me with Season (one of my first NYC friends!)

I serve as the Family and Student Counselor at Graffiti 2 Community Ministries. I get to hang out with 60 kids and teenagers every day and love every minute of it!

I love to travel....anywhere and everywhere! I've been blessed to travel all over the United States. I've also been able to go to Germany, Paris, Switzerland, and Ecuador.

I love that God has called me to NYC for this time in my life.

Enjoying Rockefeller Plaza with my college roommate!

I love movies. I love to read. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I love sports--especially college basketball. I love to shop. I love coffee. I love to run.

More than anything, I love Jesus!
