New Blog

So, I have decided to start a blog! This decision came after receiving an email that had a link to someone's blog...I clicked...I read it...and, I officially became hooked! :) I also thought that this was a great way for everyone to keep up with what's going on in my life that I don't get to see very often! There is no telling how often I will actually blog, but this one is a start!

This last weekend I was at my parent's house. My youngest brother (Ray) and I were driving on the highway when we spotted a little black kitten dodging cars on the highway. So, we decided that we would pull over and try to catch it! My little brother ran on the highway (yes, I stayed in the car...haha!) to catch this kitten. It had a bloody eye from a scratch right underneath its eye. So, we took it home, cleaned it up, and fed it! Ray decided that he would let me keep it as my new pet since I'll be moving soon! I'll need a friend at my new place! :) I will post a picture soon! Oh yeah--Ray named the kitten Jinx. I didn't want this name, but I told him we could keep the name since he's letting me keep the kitten.

This week is a busy week! My middle brother (Scott) is getting married this weekend! We are trying to get everything ready! So, my job is to decorate for the rehearsal dinner! I also get to make his favorite cookies in the whole world--sugar cookies with icing! My wonderful boss, Blythe, is helping me bake and ice all of the cookies. We are making about 200! Hopefully, they'll taste ok! I will post pictures from the rehearsal dinner after this weekend!

Since this is my first blog, I should also give a quick update to my life!!! I am taking my last class EVER right now! It ends July 1!!! YAY! I am so excited about this! I still have to complete a year long internship before graduating. I will be completing my internship as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) with Willis ISD. You may be asking yourself, "What does an LSSP do?" Well, an LSSP does a lot!!! haha! I do educational and psychological evaluations of students to determine if they have a condition that requires the need for special education. I am also involved in the intervention process with students. I can also counsel students. I am very excited about starting my internship! Since I will be working in Willis, I will be moving from Huntsville to The Woodlands! No details on that move yet!

That's it for my first official blog! I hope this is a way to keep everyone updated on what's going on in my life!

Jo Lynn,

Hey this is great! I can check on you without being annoying....When are you moving? Looks like the wedding was great. I know you and your family are probably ready for some downtime after 2 weddings so close together. See you!

PS: That little baby is awful cute. LOL!
